About
Independent studio potter in rural Minnesota (b. 1952). Studied at Hamline University (St. Paul, MN) and Banff Centre School of Fine Arts (Alberta, Canada). Known for wood-fired utilitarian pottery with quiet surfaces retaining the essence of the clay. Exhibits nationally and internationally. Taught at Carleton College, Hartford Art School, University of Georgia-Athens. Fellowships from NEA, McKnight Foundation, and Minnesota State Arts Board. Collections include American Museum of Ceramic Art and Glenbow Museum. Writing published in Studio Potter and The Log Book.
