Ceramic artist in Albion, MI. Albion College grad. Built the largest anagama in North America: 55 ft x 14 ft, 1000 cu ft, first fired 1987. Annual 10-day wood firings, 1 face cord per half hour. Henry and Virginia call him 'our friend and mentor.' His giant wood kiln 'taught us about the potential of the studio as a temple whose beauty honors the activities it facilitates' (Ceramics Monthly, April 2024). Ryan visited on Henry's insistence.
