Studio potter working in Goshen, Indiana since 2009. BA Ceramics & Sculpture from Goshen College (2000). Author of "Low Fire Soda" (2020). Creator of instructional DVD "Ceramic Decals: New Ideas and Techniques" (2012). Co-founder of Union Project (Pittsburgh nonprofit), Michiana Pottery Tour, Northern Indiana Clay Alliance (President), and Indiana Clay Conference. 2019 Traditional Arts Indiana Master Artist. 2009 American Craft Council Award of Excellence. 2007 Ceramics Monthly Emerging Artist. Work in High Museum (Atlanta), Frick Museum (Pittsburgh), Museum of Fine Arts (Springfield), San Angelo Museum. Specializes in soda-fired earthenware with decal transfers, wood firing, and politically-engaged pottery.
